Overview

CEO & Principal: Haileybury, leading one of Australia's largest independent school networks with campuses across Victoria (including Melbourne and the online campus Haileybury Pangea), Darwin (Haileybury Rendall School), and international programs across China, Vietnam, and the Philippines.

Chair of the Board: Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA).

Career & Education Leadership

Educational Background: Holds a Bachelor of Arts in Politics from the University of Auckland, a Diploma of Education from Monash University, and a Master of Education Management from the University of Melbourne.

Haileybury Leadership: Joined Haileybury in 2002 as Head of Senior School before taking over as CEO and Principal in 2008. Under his tenure, Haileybury expanded its physical footprint, launched Haileybury Pangea, and established international joint ventures like Haileybury Senior School Tianjin.

Government & Advisory Policy: Appointed to the Federal Government panel reviewing Initial Teacher Education in Australia in 2021.

Prior Career: Started in journalism before transitioning into the education sector and curriculum design.

Achievements & Athletics

Awards: Named Australian Principal of the Year at the 2019 Australian Education Awards.

Sports: Represented both Australia and New Zealand in underage cricket.
